Hi everyone thank you for bearing with us as we tried to investigate on the issue that you have recently encountered.
REMINDERS
Steam Cloud Sync must be ENABLED.
For Windows Users:
Check directory: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\DungeonSouls
Look for the following files and make sure it's in the DungeonSouls folder:
- Configuration.ini (This is important to be in the DungeonSouls folder)
- Save.ini
If you encountered a crash error message, please uninstall and re-install the game. Then follow IMPORTANT - C.
WHERE Configuration.ini and/or Save.ini SHOULD BE SAVED
Directory: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\DungeonSouls
What if AppData is hidden?
1. Go to C:\Users\username\
2. In Windows Explorer, select "View" Tab (File, Home, Share, View)
3. Click on "Options" (right-most of the panel)
4. Select "Change folder and search options"
5. Under "Folder Options," click on "View" Tab
6. Under "Files and Folders," check radio button "Show hidden files, folders, and drives."
7. Then hit "Apply" button and "Ok" button
8. Locate directory "AppData"
NOT IN THIS DIRECTORY
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dungeon Souls
For Mac Users:
For Steam Cloud Sync:
Directory: /Users//Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata/27582239/383230/remote
1. Go to "userdata"
2. Double-click on "275852239"
3. Go to Steam App ID: "383230"
4. Double-click "remote" folder
5. Check to make sure all files with extension ".ds" are updated
Note: all files with .ds extension and .ini extension are saved. It should sync-up with the local files
Where DungeonSouls.app stored in Mac:
Note: Go to searchbox and type /Users//Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/
1. Locate DungeonSouls.app
2. Right-click on DungeonSouls.app
3. Select "Show Package Content"
4. Double-click on Contents folder
5. Double-click on Resources
6. Save the configuration.ini in the Resources folder
IMPORTANT
A - If you are missing file: Configuration.ini, please send us an e-mail: [email protected].
B - If you are missing BOTH files: Configuration.ini and Save.ini please send us an e-mail: [email protected]
C - If Configuration.ini file is missing and/or Save.ini. We highly recommend overwriting the existing files in DungeonSouls folder with the extracted files, if and only if you experienced another crash error message.
Make sure that the files in the following folders listed below are updated:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Dungeon Souls
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\275852238\383230\remote
- C:\Users\Devicename\AppData\Local\DungeonSouls
KNOWN ISSUE
Compatibility Mode:
Please do the following steps:
1. Right-click on the game, Dungeon Souls
2. Go to "Local Files" tab
3. Click on "Verify Integrity of Game Files"
4. Also, click on "Browser Local Files"
5. Locate application "DungeonSouls"
6. Right-click on "DungeonSouls"
7. Select "Compatibility" tab
8. Check the box where it says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"
9. Select from the dropdown menu "Windows 7"
10. Hit "Apply" button
11. Click "OK"
12. Run the game, DungeonSouls
Note: Directly from the directory "C:\Porgram Files (x86)\Stem\steamapps\common\Dungeon Souls\DungeonSouls.exe
