Initially, incorrect race results that always showed the same static positions (like "1st Muscle - PLAYER, 2nd F1 - AI, 3rd CTR - AI") regardless of your actual race performance. The positions weren't reflecting reality.
The Root Issues We Discovered
1. FirstSecThird Component Attachment Problem
• The FirstSecThird script was attached to the wrong car (F1 instead of your actual player car "Muscle")
• This caused wrong player identification and incorrect position tracking
2. Player Car Detection Logic
• The original code assumed the car with the FirstSecThird component was the player
• This led to "F1" being marked as isPlayer = true when "Muscle" was actually the player car
3. Incomplete AI Car Discovery
• The system wasn't finding all AI cars in the scene
• Only finding 1 racer instead of all 11 cars
4. Race Results Display Issues
• The final race results weren't using the actual positions from the race
• They were showing hardcoded/static results instead of dynamic race data
Step 2: Improved Race Position Synchronization
Step 3: Fixed Race Results Display
How It Works Now
1. Race Initialization
• FirstSecThird.FindAllRacers() finds ALL cars (1 player + 10 AI) correctly
• Player car is identified by having RCC_CarControllerV4 but no RCC_AICarController
• AI cars have both components
2. During Race
• FirstSecThird continuously tracks all car positions based on:
• Laps completed
• Waypoints passed
• Distance to next waypoint
• Positions are updated in real-time and sorted correctly
3. Race Completion
• When player finishes, CRCarInfo.FinishRace() calls SyncAllRacersFromFirstSecThird()
• This takes the EXACT final positions from FirstSecThird and applies them to CRRaceManager
• All 11 cars get their proper finishing positions
4. Results Display
• Race results now pull from the actual race data instead of static values
• Shows correct positions: F1 in 1st, Muscle (player) in 2nd, CTR in 3rd, etc.
Key Benefits of This Solution
1. Accuracy: Positions now reflect actual race performance
2. Reliability: Works regardless of which car the player chooses
3. Scalability: Handles any number of AI cars automatically
4. Persistence: Positions are saved correctly for multi-race championships
5. Debugging: Extensive logging helps track what's happening
