Today's update adds support for both HTC Vive Controllers and Oculus Touch. The implementation is very unique as it simulates a touch screen rather than using the common laser pointer approach. Laser pointers tend to cause wrist pain and make it hard to be precise and click buttons.
The video below demonstrates the new functionality

Controller bindings are as follows:
- Press Trigger, Touchpad Button with Vive or X/A with Touch to tap
- Long press and hold Trigger, Touchpad Button with Vive or X/A with Touch for right-click
- Hold grip button on each controller to change screen size
- Press left menu button with Vive or Y with Touch to Reset Orientation
There are a few known issues / limitations:
- The use of the on-screen keyboard with the controllers requires the app to be installed in the default Steam Library folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\...).
- The touch contacts in environments with fixed screens will not be exactly where they need to be.
- With a flat screen, the touch points will disappear as they hit the edge making it hard to click buttons at the edges of the screen. This is not an issue with the curved screen.
- The screen is still on a fixed position. Use Reset Orientation to change its orientation.
The release also includes some bug fixes:
- The app sometimes prevented Steam/SteamVR from shutting down.
- The app will now close correctly when Windows shuts down
- Reduced screen latency with multi-monitors
