Content ID Issue - Will Be Resolved Very Soon

Update:

Further details can be found here: http://steamcommunity.com/games/381120/announcements/detail/746831411318807958

Original announcement:

Hi everyone,

We wanted to share some news on an issue that has appeared last night. Our musician Daniel Romeros has been looking to get an official soundtrack prepared for Shoppe Keep. He has been working very hard, creating new scores and in time we will share details of the official soundtrack.

Unfortunately a third party system for copyrighting the music was used and has led to the third party setting up content ID. Content ID for those who are not aware will search for videos on YouTube and issue a copyright claim which results in advertisements being played in videos.

This was set up completely accidentally and as we are very open about our development process, we wanted to let everyone know that this is not a system we intended to use and have contacted all parties involved to remove this system immediately.

We understand that this may cause issues on some channels but it is now our priority to completely remove this as we do not support this blanket content ID system. We are just awaiting further information from the third party

For now, if you’d like to continue monetising your videos on YouTube, I will recommend turning the music off in the options menu. I will update this announcement when the issue has been resolved.

Apologies for those affected. But we hope to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
