Hello everyone!
Today’s update features some changes to the champion system, customers have had their brains undergo a little tweaking to make them just a little more intelligent and a few more bug fixes!
First, let’s talk about the new champion system. When selecting a champion you can also now select its class.
The class that you select impacts what kind of items they will be able to wear and what sort of bonus they’ll receive when they embark on quests. Below is a list of the benefits each champion can receive based on class
(Warriors will deal +5% more damage than previously)
(Druids will receive +5% more HP gain than previously)
(Rogues have a 5% chance to evade a full attack)
(Mages will receive +5% more XP than previously)
Alongside these class specific bonuses, the adventure text also has a selection of new lines based on which class your champion is set to.
You’ll also now be able to choose the sex of your champion as well.
We have also been doing some performance enhancements on the customers. We have had reports that customers would stick or would walk away when another customer has bought a similar item. We have fixed this issue so customers now have a little more sense and don’t storm out. Check out the video below to see the new customer path finding in action:

As a note, we have also been playing around with customer spawn per minutes. We have decreased the amount of customers spawned per minute from 100 to 50. Combined with the above fix of customers, this should have no impact on the revenue you gain, instead it should mean you get more valuable customers in the long run. If a Shoppe is doing great and hits its SPM, You should still expect on a daily basis around 750 customers + a barbarian raid. Reducing the amount of customers helps with AI path finding but also increases performance. We believe that this is the best decision for the game.
And finally, Shoppe Keep will be exhibiting at a gaming show in the UK this weekend called the PC Gamer Weekender. Details below:

If you are attending, you can come and say hi to me and the developer of Shoppe Keep, Arvydas Žemaitis. If you give us your Steam details at the show we’ll give you a special item for use in Shoppe Keep.
As usual, if there are any issues, do let us know! I’d also like to say thank you to the players who have been helping us in the preview forum too, you’ve been an awesome help.
