Update 15th February 2016 - Introduction Of Seasons & Performance Improvements

Hi everyone,

A new update goes live today for Shoppe Keep Along with it comes mainly some performance increases and the introduction of a new gameplay feature.

First, let me talk briefly about the new gameplay feature that we hope to expand upon in the coming weeks. We are adding Seasons into the game. Currently every ten days, the game will change to a new season, be it Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter.

Right now, visible changes have been made for the Autumn and Winter (with Summer being the default shoppe look). We will also be implementing Spring, but we need to think about how spring will look different to any other seasons. For now, Spring looks like Summer. See below for a comparison screenshots.

At the moment, seasonal items are only limited to the Frost Resist Potion, which sells only very well in Winter. Over time, we will begin adjusting some of the items so that they will sell more favourably during certain times of the year, encouraging a restock of seasonal goods. We hope that you enjoy what we’re planning to do with Shoppe Keep

Major changes in this build include:

• Graphics settings for resolution and overall quality can now only be changed from the launcher
• The game should now launch normally on Linux
• Some work done on an issue where changing the visual quality could cause a crash
• Fixed Barbingantua getting stuck on her way into town
• Fixed barbarians causing a frame rate drop
• Done work on certain UI elements being unresponsive on some setups
• Improved memory efficiency

As always, any issues, please report them in the steam forums! Many thanks!
