## Hey there!
Welcome to the first entry in our development blog. We're WildSye Games—a tiny but mighty team with a big vision: to create a deep, living, breathing medieval strategy game that merges immersive world-building, rich economy mechanics, and emergent storytelling driven by player agency.

## What Are We Making?
Imagine a game where:
- Each region in the world feels alive with its own clergy, nobility, merchants, peasants, and outlaws—all reacting dynamically to your actions.
- You play as a regent shaping your territory not just through brute force, but through diplomacy, production chains, trade, and even whispers in the dark.
- Combat isn't everything—but when it happens, it's strategic card-driven, and deeply tied to your region's infrastructure and character development.
- Time flows real-time, and knowledge is power: players operate under a fog-of-war system where what you know is just as important as what you control.
We're drawing inspiration from OpenTTD, Total War, and even Europa Universalis, blending them with our own take on resource realism, factional sentiment, and synchronous multiplayer.
> "Our vision is a medieval world that breathes and evolves even when you're not actively influencing it." A living simulation that continues to develop while you're distracted elsewhere, with real consequences to your decisions that unfold over time.
## Why We're Making It
We've always wanted a strategy game that:
- Doesn't just look medieval, but feels like a medieval world.
- Gives you economic and social depth, not just conquest.
- Challenges you to navigate satisfying the demands of a varied medieval class structure.
It's a project born of passion and ambition. And we're pouring in all our experience and our original ideas on the strategy genre.
## What You'll Find Here
This dev blog will be our communication space, where we share:
- Behind-the-scenes systems and art breakdowns
From concept sketches to implementation details
- Design challenges and solutions
How we are implementing our vision for a war game built over the top of an independent economy.
- Previews of our region generators, card mechanics, AI behavior, and more
Early looks at the systems that make our world tick
- Reflections on game design, indie development, and creative motivation
The philosophy behind our creative choices
We'll keep it honest, visual, and hopefully fun to read.
Thanks for joining us this early. It means a lot.
Feel free to subscribe, drop a comment, or even send us your thoughts—we'd love to know what you'd want to see in a game like this.
