Hi everyone,
As many of you know, I'm the solo developer of PLAYNESE.
Over the past few months, I've been putting a lot of effort into releasing weekly updates. While this has allowed me to add new content quickly, it has also left me with less time to thoroughly test new features, fix bugs, and catch the occasional typo before release.
Unfortunately, in last week's update, a mini-game called Bug House may have overwritten save files for some players who triggered certain events. This did not affect everyone, but if it affected you, I sincerely apologize. I've removed the mini-game from the game and do not plan to bring it back, as it had caused loading-related issues in the past as well which I could fix.
If you were affected, I'm very sorry that you may need to start a new game or continue with fewer items than intended.
To help prevent issues like this in the future, I've decided to move from weekly updates to monthly updates. This will give me more time to properly test content and ensure each update is as stable and polished as possible.
PLAYNESE will continue to receive major updates going forward. In fact, I plan to keep expanding and improving the game for many years to come, even 10+ years from now.
I've learned an incredible amount during the development of PLAYNESE and genuinely enjoy creating new content, lessons, and activities for everyone. However, the pace of weekly updates has started to take a toll on both my health and my family time, so I believe this change will be better for both the game and its long-term future.
Going forward, please look forward to monthly updates released on the 1st of each month, beginning with the Halloween Update on October 1st.
