Operative complex “Yellow Comet”, Viridian Coves, Earth

„Please confirm your identity, employee #412276” Maya blinked and stared at the prompt in confusion. She had been working on an optimized DNA sequencing chain and had, as usual, switched into full concentration mode. This included all-round sensory filters and a barrage of “Do Not Disturb” flags. They were generally respected, so nothing short of a physical emergency would break her flow. Or had the necessary permissions to do so.
Annoyed at the interruption, she brought the prompt into focus and verbalized: “Yes, it’s me. Alright?! Let me go back…” She struggled to keep her recent calculations in mind. The prompt refused to go away. The ubiquitous voice of the corporate AI persisted: “Voice recognition positive. Please submit your personal passphrase for final verification.”
