6 days to launch - Patch #24 in progress, all is good!

The team is at work this weekend closing patch #24 tomorrow which we'll deploy before we launch and as you can see, we have everything under control. After all, this game development stuff is easy. We also like to have fun because we love what we do so don't think for a minute we have no worries. We have lots of them, as is natural with a game launch.

We are however confident in our launch, the solid technological platform we have, the architectural runway to easily work on free expansions, to continually balance, add more wargear and abilities, new features and game modes, elites, heroes and new classes such as Terminator equivalents. Yes, the are already in development.

Even from a server perspective we're well set. It only takes us 10 minutes to spin up 128 physical servers, we don't have to order hardware and wait for it. If we run out of servers, it means Amazon has run out of servers. This would be a really good problem to have because it means we've sold a gazillion units.

What we'll be doing after patch #24 is more polish, fixing bugs, balancing, playing the game and making sure we continue to improve the player experience because that's what you do around launch, while the rest of the team works on the next free content update.

As always we thank you for your support and feedback, it's a pleasure to read your comments, death threats forum posts, and reviews (of which we just lost 900 due to Steam changes which will hurt us a lot) but they warm our cold frozen hearts. My morning tea wouldn't be the same without them.

If there is anything we would like to ask you right now in how you can further support us, it's to update your old reviews so they reflect your opinion on the game today. We're not threatening you with a permaban to intentionally give a thumbs up - which apparently some games did and prompted the review system changes - just be honest if we've improved or become worse since then.

And for the 900 founders who did give us reviews, we're very sorry that your opinion now mean nothing. We hope that policy will change.

Onwards. There is only war. And we will keep on bringing nothing, but war.
