Cash_Out has been updated to 0.2.0.0!

Cash_Out has had it's first large update since it landed on steam 3 months ago.
I've fixed, added and changed a lot in this update, to make the game much smoother and more enjoyable to play.

As this update focused on a lot of back end options, everything has been wiped. You'll have to go through the tutorial again, and do auto-setup again. Sorry about that. Career mode characters still work though.

ADDITIONS

  • Proper window scaling has been added, along with a proper fullscreen mode.
  • Added a V-Sync option. (default off as it takes a lot of GPU for little bonus).
  • Enemies no longer automatically go after you when they see you, there is a short delay now. The higher the difficulty, the lower the delay. When enemies spot you, you'll have a small period of time to get behind walls again to avoid them.
  • Added an option to flip left and right mouse buttons.
  • Classes now need to be unlocked! You'll start with one class, each other class is unlocked every 5000 dollars you steal. This was actually a requested feature and I agree. I'd like to ease players into the game and I feel this is the best option.

LEGENDARY UNIQUE WEAPONS

Unique weapons can now be legendary, with new mechanics and names, I'll be working to make all unique weapons can be legendary, but only a few are in now. I'd like to do a bit with these, but I haven't totally decided what. I may even make them unlockable.

  • Sparkler -> "Celebration". When the sparkler is fully burnt out, attacks deal explosive damage as well.
  • Grenade Launcher -> "Sticky Bomber". Grenades take longer to explode, but fire out faster and stick to walls and enemies.
  • Crossbow -> "Triple Cross". Fires three bolts off instead of one, but has much less ammo.
  • Chainsaw -> "Buzz Saw". Attacks in an arch lighting like effect, dealing damage to enemies in an area.

BALANCE

  • Reduced the strength that being in a dark area had, it was doing significantly more than I expected, but it wasn't doing much because of the old spotting system.
  • Increased the FOV that enemies have when looking for you.
  • Non-leader enemies who notice you will now call the leader of the squad to their position.
  • Enemy idle movement is more psuedo-random now.
  • Enemies now rotate and move more when idle. Clamped stagger levels so it can't drop so low you can't move.
  • Enemy health has been increased to compensate for the new spotting mechanics.
  • Poison now slows enemies down more, this is due to how the enemies move now. Previously I had to cap it to prevent enemy AI messing up, but that has been fixed.

BUG FIXES

  • Melee enemy AI fixed (enemies were stopping when they caught up to you.)
  • Fixed having to complete the tutorial for every raid.
  • You can now find the baseball set in career mode.
  • Completing the tutorial will give you your mouse cursor back.
  • Career mode weapons now show their stats. (Apparently I forgot to even put this in?)
  • Hovering over the clothing box in career mode no longer results in a crash.
  • Fixed a crash caused by finishing a raid with only one weapon.
  • Object outlines will now draw again after beating a raid.
  • Heists are now properly created in career mode.

OTHER CHANGES

  • Dual Pistols -> New Mechanic, the longer you're firing, the less spread.
  • Voodoo Doll -> New Mechanic, while the doll is active, attacks occur at the doll instead of the character.
  • Cash_Out can now be run at up to 120 FPS. (This wasn't a design choice, this was always planned, but a problem with path finding made this impossible.)
  • Rearranged the "mechanics" options to make them fit togehter better.
  • You can no longer manually resize the screen. (While an interesting option, it was creating some issues.)

That's it for this week! As said previously, I'd like to do some more with the legendary unique items, but I also need to get the advanced tutorial and the glossary finished. Legendary unique weapons are very early right now.

Thanks! :co_frag:
