Hey Survivors,
A new update just went live! This one focuses on improving early gameplay, polishing zombie spawns, and adding new systems like lockpicking and new POIs to explore.
🆕 New Features & Content
🔪 Starting Weapon – You now start with a knife, even after you die, so you’re never defenseless.
⛽ Gas System Update
Gas Tank Added – You can now fill your gas can using a gas tank in the first town.
Craftable Gas Tank – Gas tanks can also be crafted directly from your inventory.
💀 New Zombie Spawn Effect – Added new visuals when zombies spawn.
Fixed zombies spawning in the air.
Changed the effect color from purple to blue for a better look.
Removed the purple Niagara particles completely.
🏦 Bank & City Adjustments
Removed the bank door cross.
Reduced the number of zombie spawns in Bank City for better balance.
🪜 Ladder Update – Ladders can now be used faster and more smoothly.
🚗 Vehicles – Added cars on the new roads across the rest of the map.
🗺️ Exploration & Loot
📦 Loot Added – First lootable items have been placed in the new map zones.
🏗️ New Construction POI – A new area under construction has been added to the world.
🌀 Weird Zone POI – A strange, mysterious area to discover has been added (WIP).
💬 Car Controls Tip – Added a description in the input menu:
“You need to be in the car to flip it.”
🔒 Lockpicking System – You can now use lockpicks to open:
Certain chests.
Some locked doors around the map.
🧟 Zombie Spawning Improvements
Fixed spawn distance and timing for zombies on the main map.
Removed the zombie that spawned too early in the tutorial — it now appears when you approach.
Adjusted spawn distance across all zones for smoother gameplay.
🎧 Audio & Economy
Fiber Resource – Added a new custom sound when gathering fiber.
Money Balance – Reduced the amount of money found in chests.
🖱️ Controls & Interactions
You can now press [E] to loot all, or click the button if you prefer using the interface.
