Weekly Changelog: v0.110
A lot of progress has been made again this week towards the Early Access release in Q1-2026!
I also uploaded a new version of the demo with the following improvements/fixes:
-Upgraded the color palettes of many underwater plants to give them a much better alien vibe and make them stand out more from the sea floor
-Improved how the loot is found in-game. You will now find patches of plants, loot that only grows on specific types of ground like exposed rock, etc.
-Improved the terrain textures, especially the rock texture used on terrain slopes
-Added a third texture for steep slopes, which makes the whole game look more natural
-Added more sand waves on the sea floor
-Upgraded the model of the plant that gives the glowhaze filaments (it looks much better now!)
-Upgraded the reef trunk texture
-Added random rotation to plants and loot objects for more natural variations
-Upgraded the script that makes plants “wobble” underwater to have better intensity/speed randomness, so that nearby plants move differently
-Added stone arches in the shallow water area that you can swim under
-Improved the larger rock visuals to better match the terrain texture
-Added an item quest tracker for every step of the tutorial
-Enabled crafting buildings by clicking on their icon instead of having to select them and then press the craft button
-Improved the tutorial window design
-Added better information when the player doesn’t meet the requirements to build a new structure
-Added building placement rotation on gamepad
-Added build information while placing a new building
-Added info on how to destroy buildings
-Added an on/off toggle to destroy buildings without a safety delay
-Prevented destroying buildings while in the tutorial
-Made the storage stash unlockable as soon as the game starts, without having to pick the first quest, in the true feeling of an open world game
-Increased outdoor brightness
-Made the robotic signal waypoint flash
-Improved the trial area walls info message
-Combined the 3D mesh of a few heavier objects to improve performance
Thanks so much for your interest in the game!
