To the few people who have paid close attention to 'The Story of Pi Na':
Before the arrival of summer in the northern hemisphere, I released the first trial version of 'The Story of Pi Na' with excitement and unease.
I am not an independent game developer who has been honing my skills for ten years. I am just a college student who is still busy with early morning and mid-term graduation exams due to my interests.
The Story of Pi Na "is my first game work and also my debut work that strictly deviates from online tutorials.
Playing games was one of my childhood dreams, and now I finally have the time to put it into practice. Although college students' time is not particularly abundant.
Before the birth of "The Story of Pi Na", I also asked myself what kind of game I wanted to make.
The train in Hanzhong whizzed past, with 1196 kilometers of mountains, rivers, and uncomfortable hard seats urging me to constantly provide answers along the way.
One interesting idea after another came one after another, like a queue of graduates submitting their resumes, all waiting for me to adopt their answers.
I sighed and rejected them one by one.
Most interesting things also draw on the models of others.
And I hope this work can have its own unique characteristics.
Thus, "The Story of Pi Na" was born.
There is no meaningful story, perhaps it's just a green train crossing the mountains, and when the shadow covers my face, a spiritual light shines in the darkness.
Then comes the story of putting this idea into practice, the idea is short, but the story is long.
......
And now, you are listening to this story.
......
Not necessarily a fun game, it's not as addictive as RougeLike and competitive games, nor as immersive and moving as JRPG and Galactic Castlevania.
Just spelling idioms, navigating mazes, listening to stories, that's all.
The handling of details in many places reflects the creator's unfamiliarity, and perhaps the plot is even more confusing.
There are flaws everywhere.
And the only advantage, perhaps, is that I have preserved my own characteristics in this era of following the crowd.
Someone has questioned my game, saying that such gameplay is difficult to attract players, and coupled with restrictions in Chinese culture, the audience is even smaller.
However, rather than saying that "The Story of Pi Na" is a commercial game.
It is actually more like a symbol of my transition from immaturity to maturity.
......
......
......
I have left my ignorance here.
Wait until I am assimilated by the impermanence of the world.
I still have a chance to find 'The Story of Pi Na' on the Steam store page.
Smile again, the self who didn't know the vastness of heaven and earth back then.
......
......
......
In life, why not perform a scene that is free and unrestrained.
Not bound by form, not following the crowd.
sincerely yours,QiongQi
