I'm excited to announce Runeblight will be releasing in early access February 13th! The game will be updated with lots of new content, including a new area, weapon, boss, enemies, runic powers, and more. Here's some details on the upcoming stuff:
New Area: Iresborough
A new area will be accessible when the game releases. Iresborough, a once thriving city, is now crawling with members of the Auranum Order. This larger level might be a bit tricky to navigate, the deserted streets winding and wrapping back around. You'll need to be on the lookout for snipers and the Eye of Auranum, which follows you throughout the level.
New Weapon: Vilirihn Crossbow
This new weapon rewards pinpoint accuracy. It's a bit slow to fire, but does significant damage. Aiming for the head even more so. A scope allows you to zoom in; picking off enemies from afar can come in handy in the city streets.
Other Stuff
In Iresborough, you'll also find a new boss, two new enemies, and several new runic powers to collect. You might also make a new friend who is willing to sell his wares to you. Beyond that, there's also quite a few bug fixes, general improvements, and balance changes.
About Early Access
The game will be priced at $6.99.
The demo will still be available while the game is in early access, however, the new content will not be accessible in the demo (besides bug fixes, balance changes, and other improvements).
By purchasing the game, you're also helping support development and can be directly involved in the process. Players will get access to beta branches if they want to play test upcoming content.
The game will not be $6.99 forever, only during early access.
It's hard to say for certain, but we're hoping to have regular content updates every 3 to 5 months. With the game finishing development in early to mid 2027. Each update will likely feature new areas, weapons, enemies, and other improvements.
