Bunnimon 1.0.1 Patch
Hi all! We hope you are enjoying BUNNIMON since it's release so far, and we are happy to release the first patch for the game which addresses several issues reported by players and makes some welcome changes and overhauls many systems in the game. As you are aware, Chapters 2 + 3 are still being worked on, due for release in October 2026, so much more is to come in BUNNIMON.
Here's a list of the new changes and fixes (it's extensive!)
-Resolution dropdowns no longer are unreadable when selecting 1080p.
-CDs work immediately on contact and support the E/interact action.
-Unstuck/respawn clears fall-damage and platform state before teleporting.
-Player model fades when camera obstruction forces an extreme close-up.
-Jump now mantles a valid ledge; mantling temporarily bypasses collision seams to prevent getting stuck.
-Displays “Checkpoint” after touching the CDs or pressing E/interact nearby.
-Fixed the Memories UI lockup.
-Unified conflicting save-key formats and added automatic migration for existing saves.
-Fixed writes made before initial save loading being lost.
-Added atomic save writes and backup recovery.
-Normalized incomplete/older save-slot data.
-Properly isolates dialogue, collectibles, checkpoints, and spirit progress per slot.
-Save deletion now clears all slot-prefixed progression instead of a hardcoded collectible list.
-Spirits persist immediately.
-Collectables now pop, shrink, and fly toward the player.
-Added animated HUD stars and smoother counter feedback.
-Improved menu panel easing without destroying authored UI positions.
-Added button hover, press, and click feedback.
-Save cards and level cards now enter with staggered fade/scale animations.
Implemented the minimap/full-map overhaul.
New features:
- Live directional player marker and view cone.
- Dynamic icons for collectables, save points, enemies, tagged enemies, and destinations.
- Collected items automatically disappear from the map.
- Moving enemies update continuously.
- Hover markers for names, categories, and distance.
- Click markers to focus the fullscreen map on them.
- Drag to pan and scroll/LB-RB to zoom.
- Center-on-player button and keyboard/gamepad shortcut.
- Interactive legend buttons for toggling marker categories.
- Area-specific map titles and improved control labels.
