We're in the Wholesome Snack, alongside some other choice delicious morsels. If you found us there, welcome!
Our little exclusive in the showcase was a proper introduction to your neighbour, the Yolf. Sometimes it visits the tree outside your lodge. It has business with you, after all.
What is the Yolf? Some things must be taken as they are. Why is there something rather than nothing? Why is there a Yolf rather than no Yolf? Every world has its mysteries; be glad for them.
Here's the full live stream, which was just broadcast at time of writing. In the tradition of our monthly newsletter, we thought it would be fun to share our recommendations from the stream!
I played and really enjoyed Snufkin: Melody of Moominvalley. Moomin stories are not only iconic but timely, with their themes of living alongside nature and trying to maintain community even with neighbours who might be more irascible. I'm excited for any new Moomin, so Moomintroll: Winter's Warmth is a welcome addition to my wishlist.
I like my cosy games with a bit more of an edge, so Verdant's beautiful apocalypse looks like one for me. It's giving Annihilation, dreamlike post-apocalyptic survival.
I love to cook, and would do anything to be foraging for mushrooms right now. Cooking will be a feature in Mandrake too, so I'll be playing Arcane Eats and calling it research!
Coffee Talk Tokyo is going to be one to watch, a much longed-for sequel to the 2020 narrative classic.
For more game recommendations I'd subscribe to our newsletter which is - I'll be honest - mostly not even about video games (how do you feel about weird history, birds, webcomics, and internet ephemera?).
We'll see you there. (Yolf.)
