New FREE Game! 8-Bit Adventures Update 2.1! Soundtrack Bundle Released!

Hello everyone! It's been about a month since my last post, so there's plenty of news to report.

First up is a new game - Tales Across Time!

I developed this title for the 2015 Indie Game Maker Contest, which means it's 100% free to play! I'd say if you liked 8-Bit Adventures, you'll probably enjoy this game too. It can be found here:

Tales Across Time is comprised of three 'short-stories', told using traditional RPG mechanics. Each tale takes place in the same location, but separated by hundreds of years. In this 1 hour+ adventure, you will explore ancient ruins, help a woman save her fiancée, and be hunted by a masked man!

The contest required developers to create a game within a month, which is a very short amount of time to make an RPG, so please keep that in mind. But if you do enjoy the game, I would sincerely appreciate a vote (just hit that little blue 'Vote +1' button). There are numerous prizes, including the People's Choice award, so your votes are a massive help!

Okay, I think that's enough self-promotion =)

In other news, Update 2.1 for 8-Bit Adventures has been released!

This new version fixes two very nasty bugs.

  • You can no longer be locked out of the Sky Forge. The Gemstone still disappears, but now the door remains open.
  • You can no longer skip a very important cutscene in the Turcosa Swamp. In previous versions, there was a spot which allowed you to walk around the triggers and skip this sequence - which could result in a dead game.

I sincerely apologise to anyone that has encountered these issues, and a big thanks to everyone who reported them. They should now be a thing of the past!

Finally, I wanted to highlight the release of the Soundtrack Bundle!

Now you can get 8-Bit Adventures together with the Remastered Soundtrack for a reduced price! You can find the bundle on the main Store page here:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/370300
Or alternatively, you can buy the Remastered Soundtrack (which also comes with the complete, original 8-Bit Soundtrack) separately here:

Regardless, it's a fantastic release that Carfonu (the composer of 8-Bit Adventures) worked very hard on. If you enjoyed the music of 8-Bit Adventures, and love orchestral remixes, I cannot recommend it enough!

Phew! That was a lot to get through. As always, a massive thanks to everyone who's been posting on the forum and writing reviews - I honestly can't tell you how much I appreciate all of your comments =)

So thank you very much for your time, and I hope that everyone enjoys these new releases!
