Yep, it's that time again!
I am very happy to announce that 8-Bit Adventures: The Forgotten Journey Remastered Edition is participating in this week’s Weeklong Sale on Steam. You can get it for $4.99 USD – that’s 50% off!
And that's not all. You can also get the fantastic Remastered Soundtrack for 20% off - that's only $3.99 USD! You can check it out here:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/387170/?snr=1_5_1100__1100
Or if you'd like both, take a look at the recently released Bundle which contains both the Full Game and Remastered Soundtrack for only $7.91 USD (that's 34% off)!
But don't wait too long - you’ve only got until Sunday night (September 13th, PST)!
I know that there are still over 900 people with this game on their Wishlist, so if you're among them I hope is this sale gives you the opportunity to start your own 8-Bit Adventure! =)
I also want to sincerely thank everyone who has written a review for the game - I've been amazed at how many people have taken the time to do so, especially in the couple of months! You can read the full reviews on the Steam page, but as I've done before (and in the interest of marketing) I wanted to highlight a few quotes:
Very nice game, even surprisingly so, was expecting much less. Everything's just right, it's not too short, but not too long either. The story felt familiar, but somehow still original, same with the battle system...It seems a lot of thought went into balancing, because no grinding was necessary. Also, the ending, and the (rudimentary but fun) post-game made me smile, which is rare.
From the interesting story, to the neat little surprises here and there, It is obvious that a lot of time and care went into making this.
So far this game is just tickling my childhood gamer strings! Basically one hour in and I know it's going to be something I have to complete - that's saying a lot with my library as I generally play 20 min to an hour and slowly forget about the game...
This is a great JRPG made to play like the very first games of the genre...It tells its own story while incorporating retro gaming and saving the whole world without being bland or repetitive. The ($10) price might be a bit much for the 20-25 hour game, but it's certainly well worth the price if you like old school JRPGs. I really enjoyed the forgotten journey and wouldn't mind another one if the author decides to make one :)
I genuinely hope that this sale allows more people to play and enjoy 8-Bit Adventures. And if you’ve already completed the journey, feel free to let me know what you’d like to see in a sequel here. I'm trying my best to make it happen! =)
But as always, thank you very much for your time and I hope everyone has a great week!
