Hello everybody, I've been working on new improvements and features that will be coming to CST Tycoon during the first part of February. I want to shed some light of what this new features will be and I hope to hear your feedback.
Research
It is a new feature that allows you to define a monthly budget to spend on research, you will be able to unlock different upgrades like:
- Wifi service
- Faster supply
- Slower freshness decay
- New beans
- Improved food quality
Research will also be the way to unlock new content in the store (ítems/counters/drinks) once they get added to the game.
Improvements to Object Placing
"Why do I have to click OK after I placed my item?" This and other concerns are being addressed, the new Edit Mode is faster and easier to work with, when you place an item over the grid you won't need to click OK, if the item is in a position where it can't be placed you will see a message over the item telling you so. Another benefit of this new system is that if you decide to buy something that doesn't fit in the grid you can place it anywhere and move other items around until you have enough space, right now if you want to accomplish this you need to store the item, move the items in the grid to free space, go back to your stored items and place the item again.
Edit mode now also allows you to access your inventory from there so there is no need to go back to normal mode to place stored items.
You will also see a shortcut on your right to buy the last item again, this is very useful when buying chairs for example.
Improvements to Bean assignment
Another system I'm improving is the Machine/bean assignment. Currently it is very annoying to brew different type of beans having to assign and remove beans from the brewer. The new system allows you to cycle between beans from the brewer screen allowing you to brew different beans.
Prioritizing Airpots
Ever had that final cup of coffee in your airpot that won’t go away? Now you can prioritize an airpot and it will be used before the others.
Missions for the second coffee shop
Right now only the first coffee shop has missions, new missions related to the new feature “Research” will be added to the second coffee shop, finishing this missions will unlock a new coffee shop once it is available.
Help Manual
Last but not least every piece of advice you read from Mr. Danger will be available on a help section in case you find yourself lost or you simply want to better understand how a system works.
