Patch Notes – Release Version
Core Gameplay
Runs were taking far too long (45–60 minutes, even longer for first-time players). Our target is 20–30 minutes, and 40–60 minutes for new players.
To tighten pacing, we streamlined several node events and reduced transition times between encounters.
Changes:
Reduced effect durations in Odin’s Trial, Goldmine, and Hunting Grounds.
Decreased load times between nodes.
Overall, this removes roughly 1 minute per year during a run.
Battles remain the same pace, but the time between battles is now significantly faster.
New Systems
Ascend
Win 10 victories in a run to challenge the Jarl Leader.
Defeat them to claim the throne and become the new leader until another player dethrones you.
