Narcosis Unite '16 Wrap-Up

Hi All,

We had a great time showing Narcosis at Unite ‘16 this past week, rubbing shoulders with smart, inspiring folks and getting to check out a great variety of cool games #madewithunity. We’d like to mention a few of our favorites, in no particular order...

Mages of Mystralia is Borealys Games’ beautiful, upcoming action-RPG. It features a very cool, deep player-managed spellcrafting system that we can’t wait to play more of.

Sunburned Games’ The Great Whale Road is a turn-based, story-driven RPG set in the Dark Ages. It’s reminiscent of Stoic’s Banner Saga games, in the best way possible.

Blackwood Crossing ships in February courtesy of PaperSeven LTD; it’s a compelling first-person adventure yarn about a couple of orphans on an ordinary train ride that magically evolves into a story of “life, love and loss.” We’ll be waiting at the station when it arrives.

Osiris: New Dawn is an incredibly ambitious (and awesome-looking) sci-fi survival action-sim from Fenix Fire Entertainment. Though it won’t be as vast as the procedurally generated universe in No Man’s Sky, the current and planned gameplay features — including co-op multiplayer, spacewalking and building settlements — already appear to be far more robust.

Valley from Blue Isle Studios came out in August; it’s a cool first-person adventure-platformer where the player explores and uncovers the mysteries of a remote location in the Rocky Mountains. If you liked the traversal aspects of A Story About My Uncle (Gone North Games), Valley ought to be right up your alley.

Ragtag Studios have been supporters of Narcosis for quite a while. We’ve been looking forward to their debut title, Ray’s The Dead, for quite some time, and it’s looking better than ever. You’ll play as Ray, both before and after he becomes a zombie. ‘Recruit’ some more undead friends and command your own zombie horde. Release is still TBD, but we’ll be hungry for brains when it arrives.

Invisigun Heroes is Sombr Studios’ first game, and features some of the best multiplayer fun we’ve had in quite a while. Single-screen stealth battle arenas make for some fast-paced, chaotic matches, and to top it off, all players are invisible unless firing or using their unique special ability.

We met some of the Ecuadorian team Freaky Creations at E3 a few years ago, so it was cool to catch up in L.A. again. To Leave is a surreal action adventure that tells the story of a young man named Harm, who uses is magical flying door to escape the ravenous megalopolis of Candice - which is trying to destroy him. It’s on PS4, and well worth a gander.

As for Narcosis, we’re nearing the finish line and can’t wait for folks to play the finished work. We’ve locked down a release date, and will be ‘content-complete’ in just a few weeks… Stay tuned for more updated and announcements soon.

As always, you can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for more updates.

Cheers!
