Time for another Interstellar Rift experimental update. We’ve made some quality of life improvements as well as introduced a new enemy that will be coming after you and your little ships.
We have revamped the death menu and fixed the functionality for respawn on nearby ship. When you click on respawn on nearby ship you will get a list of all ships that are available. Dying now also has a cost attached to it, as well as a timer on respawning on nearby friendly ships.
In addition we have also made it possible to turn lights on and off by looking at the light and pressing the use button (E by default). We are working on a general controller that will let you turn lights on and off in an entire room.
We’re also introducing the skrill Stinger. These smaller skrill can often be found roaming among larger groups of skrill and in asteroid fields. These creatures, once they have found you, will chase you and explode on impact. Fortunately they will not take a lot of damage to kill but their speed will make them somewhat tricky to hit. Especially in greater numbers.
As you may have noticed our war on desyncs is ever ongoing and this patch also includes more fixes that should make desyncing less likely.
As always, we’d appreciate any feedback you’re willing to provide it will only help us make the game better. A new experimental thread can be found here:
