The experimental branch has been feeling a little neglected, so it's time for another patch. This time bringing with it Fines! The new Mail Center and Drone Control systems!
First up fines, whenever you commit a violation that will earn you a wanted star, you will now receive a fine. The severity of the crime and how much damage you inflict during that time will determine how heavy the fine is. The fine will show up in the new mail center along with an expiration date. Once the fine expires, Sentinel Security Systems drones will attack you on sight until the fine is paid. If however the S3 drones manage to destroy your ship, the value of your ship and its cargo will be deducted from all outstanding fines.
Next up the new mail center. When you get a new mail you will now see a red icon with the number of unread emails in them. Additionally the layout has been optimised to be easier to read, and categories have been added for each type of email.
And lastly the drone control systems, these new devices determine how many of each drone is allowed to be spawned in a system based on the station with the highest drone count in that system. So HSC stations determine the HSC mining drone count, S3 the S3 security drones etc. Constructing new stations in a system will open up new places for drones to spawn. Drone control systems are Admin Models, and server no purpose on player owned ships. They can be found on every station that has the ability to spawn drones, and can be used to see all the drones of that type and faction in the system, and what those drones are doing.
