Big announcement! My Card Is Better Than Your Card! is coming to Steam Early Access in October 2025!
Why Early Access?
Originally, we planned to launch the game as full release by October with a more limited set of features. But, thanks to the support our game has received, we realized that it would now be possible for us to aim for a more feature-rich full release version of our game than we had previously thought. Instead of delaying the release, we feel Early Access is the better option.
The support and love we’ve received for this game has been amazing, and words aren’t enough to express how blown away and grateful we are for that! Through your feedback we’ve heard lots of great wishes and suggestions that we agree with and want to see in the full version of the game. We want to be able to make more of those ideas come true. Going into Early Access will help us make the game better with you, our community.
The game will be fully playable at Early Access launch with a bunch of new content!
Features at Early Access launch include:
Over 200 adorable and cool stickers to discover! (Over three times more than in the demo!)
Over 40 toys to play with! (And now you can get more during your runs!)
Ten unique opponents to play against – 5 new friends since the demo! And you could even run into different versions of them, with different decks and playstyles
3 challenging bosses to truly test your deckbuilding skills at the end of each week
10 starter decks with their own themes and playstyles to unlock and choose from for each run
Super special Story Events to spend time with your friends from the neighborhood! Challenge them to water fights or go on an adventure in the forest! Who knows what’ll happen!
15 different types of themed Booster Packs to open

Three special Sticker types that change how the stickers play! (Two new types in addition to Holographic!)
What else has changed since the demo release?
Since our Next Fest demo, we’ve added quite a lot of content and new features! A huge thank you to our players for all the feedback! Besides the list of features above, here are more new additions we’ve made to the game since our demo!
Better crafting experience
Smarter opponents: we taught the children how to play the game better, so get ready for a challenge
Sudden showdown: a new game mechanic to prevent card battles from dragging on for too long
Achievements
Got rid of a lot of bugs (not the cute ones), and improved the technical side of things

How long will Early Access last?
We estimate that the game will be in Early Access for approximately 9 to 12 months. We have made sure to include time to add features based on our players’ suggestions.
What’s going to be added to the game during Early Access?
Through Early Access we will add new content and features at a steady pace. We will keep you informed on how we’re advancing with regular development updates!

What’s going to happen to the demo?
Right now, we’re focusing on getting ready for the Early Access launch. We may disable the demo closer to Early Access launch, since the demo is a bit outdated at this point. Players trying out the demo might not get an accurate picture of what the Early Access version of the game is like, because of all the new content, features and improvements we’ve added to the game. The demo will come back as an updated version later!
