The playtest for the updated demo is live! If you haven’t joined yet, you can sign up on our Steam page and check out the Star Ores Inc. demo until July 21st.
What’s new?
We took your feedback on the first demo seriously: many players felt it was too short and didn’t show enough of the gameplay. So we’ve expanded the content significantly!
🔓 More caves & new areas waiting to be explored
🔥 Smelty-Tron: use this machine to craft ore bars
⚒️ Ore Drills: place them on ore fields to automate mining
🎨 Decorations: first modules to customize and beautify your station
🤖 New robots: more helpful companions to unlock
🐞 Bug fixes: lots of reported issues from the first demo are resolved
🕹️ More movement options: Jumping, running and crouching are now in – a highly requested feature!
We hope you enjoy the new demo and we’re excited to hear your feedback.
📅 Play now – sign up until July 16th!
Please note:
Once you sign up, we need to manually approve your access – if it’s taking too long, feel free to message us on Discord and we’ll unlock your playtest slot as soon as possible!
🚀 Full version playtest starts in September!
If you complete the survey at the end of the demo and leave your Discord name, you might get selected to test the full version before release.
Have fun testing – we’re looking forward to hearing from you!
Galactic greetings,
