Dear players, long time no see!
After all kinds of ups and downs on the publishing side,
We’re incredibly excited to announce that 16 Cyber-Personalities: Survivors has officially launched on Steam! 🎉🎉
This is the very first title of our very small team (2 full-timer), and making it this far truly wouldn’t have been possible without all of your wishlists, feedback, and support along the way. Now, we can finally invite you to step into this world yourself.
Quick overview of all the updates since Demo:
*Even after the full release, the Demo will remain publicly available, so new players can still try before they buy.
🕹️ About the game
16 Cyber-Personalities: Survivors is a fast-paced bullet-hell survivor roguelite inspired by MBTI personality types.
16 characters, each with unique abilities!

For example: E + N + F + J = ENFJ. Pretty simple, right?

Map
The demo starts with Greedy...
Now two more to explore!

5 rings of the Mandala Board – every mechanism unlocked
The entire Mandala Board is fully open in the Full Version.
Each axis represents one of Jung’s cognitive functions, and the mechanics you unlock are closely tied to that theme on the “fictional” level as well.
In real life, we may all have our shortcomings. But in the game, anyone can become a well-rounded eight-sided warrior.

7 -> 49 Persona masks – collect them all
In battle, you can equip a Persona (mask) before entering the stage to gain a unique build-defining bonus.
Each of them hides little easter eggs related to both gameplay and personality theory.
Seven masks are nowhere near enough!
The Full Version unlocks all 49 Persona masks currently in the game. Each Persona comes with its own unique ability.
Combine them with your Personality, Sprites, and Traits to build your own signature builds.
Full difficulty hierarchy of needs:

Full Companion system – allies to fight at your side
You may have already met Sixian with his all-purpose sword, and the sleepy cat Kiki, in the Demo.
In the Full Version, around 20 powerful Companions will join the fight.
Each of them has their own tricks, and they can form strong synergies with certain Personalities.
Elemental reactions – enjoy multi-layered chain effects
Still not enough interaction between Sprites? Here we go!
In the Full Version, you can combine different elemental Traits to trigger chain reactions that melt away your enemies in an instant.

Full Compendium rewards – nearly 600 Traits, all unlocked
Clearing every Personality, every Persona, every difficulty tier, and every talent node on the Mandala Board…
All of that will unlock new, even more powerful Traits for you.
You’ll constantly have something new to unlock throughout the run.

Laboratory unlocked – customize your starting Personality
In the Full Version, you can also unlock the Laboratory.
Here, you can choose 8 favorite Traits before starting a run and bring them directly into battle, giving you even more freedom to shape your preferred playstyle.

A note about save data
Please note that Demo save data is not compatible with the Full Version.
This is due to major changes to our code structure, save system, and onboarding flow. Forcing compatibility would very likely cause bugs and break the experience, so we ultimately decided not to carry saves over.
We’re really sorry for the inconvenience, and we hope you can understand.
(If you enjoy the Demo, please consider grabbing the Full Version—thank you!)
A few final words
From the very first Demo to the upcoming Full Version, we’ve received countless suggestions, criticism, encouragement, and of course tons of MBTI-related discussions.
Being able to meet so many players willing to give our tiny team a chance, and to explore personalities and gameplay together, is something I’m truly grateful for.
After the Full Version launches, I hope you will:
keep sending us feedback and pointing out problems;
if you like the game, recommend it to friends who are into MBTI, roguelikes, or personality-themed games;
and whenever you spot awkward translations, strange numbers, or unclear mechanics, please don’t hesitate to call us out!
If this project goes well, we’d love to bring you even more updates. And who knows—maybe in the future we’ll get to make other MBTI-themed games: an RPG, a card game… anything is possible.
Thank you for staying with us all the way to this point.
