What's Coming Next (Seabass, Creator/Lead Developer)

I'm hoping to start taking some steps into improving the immersion of the game. Feeling like you really are the character is important for any game. A few things I've tried to start out with include the fire sound effect and the rain sound. Even if they are small changes they do make a difference.

A lot of people seem to be facing the main issue of, "There isn't enough content". I'd like you to know that we are aware of the concerns and complaints of the community. I would love to add more content and create more variety in the world. Believe me when I say that we are working on it. Unfortunately I do have a day job that I have to attend to ("Work sucks, I know" -Blink 182) and it takes up about 30 hours of my week currently.

I'm hoping that sooner than later I can make developing this game my #1 and only priority.

I want to thank everyone who has provided feedback and suggestions for Project Explore. Without you the game wouldn't be where it is now.

What's Coming Next (Idiotekque)

The grind to bring a lot of current art in the game up to snuff has been a continual process, and it will keep up as I replace a lot of the item art that needs replacing. Now that the first handful of creatures is done, however, you should all be seeing some NEW content in the game in the not so distant future. Before then, the player sprite is getting a much needed rework, and it pretty much is good to go as soon as we get the character customization menu in working order.

Yes, you heard right: Character customization.

When I started working on the new sprite, I couldn't help but feel like breaking the pieces apart, adding new pieces, and just rolling with it was the best direction to go. This is definitely going to be vital when multiplayer is integrated down the road so that everyone doesn't look like clones as well. Granted the pieces you'll be able to use will be relatively limited, but more will come, so no worries about lack of variety there.

I'm gonna start putting together some brand new enemies soon as well, as well as trying to bring a whole new aspect to the game as far as... the feel goes. The reason to things, why you're in the middle of nowhere, and where you really are, and what's there beyond just a bunch of ravenous beasts. It's gonna be cool. It's also gonna be a lot of work and take time, so I'll leave you all with that thought.

Enjoy the update,
Idiotekque
