Beautiful Shaders And Day/Night Cycles
This update brings with it... TONS of eye candy. I've finally managed to work in a smooth day and night cycle. No more sudden lighting changes. Shaders are another thing I wanted to improve further for the users with stronger hardware. I know the first thing I do when I start up a game is go into the graphics menu and turn everything to the highest settings. I've made sure not to leave out those of you with older hardware/laptops. You can enable all the same features and get equal performance by simply disabling the shaders.
Some Major Bug Fixes
I found some pretty game breaking issues during 30 minute play session of Project Explore. For instance, the lantern would literally crash the game when you reloaded your save. Another example, the surface tiles you can place could be placed on grass and sand which was NEVER supposed to happen. Crops were super BROKEN and I didn't even notice until last night. The compass would freeze your player after you selected a waypoint. SO many issues that I was unaware of until now.
I've done my best to make the game more playable. I realize I haven't been releasing the most stable updates recently but I'm doing by best here to make up for it. The only new feature I'm somewhat concerned about (concerned it may be unstable) is the death screen I added. I've tested it in multiple resolutions and windowed/full screen mode and it works correctly. But like most new features I probably overlooked something.
That's It For Now!
Until next time... Thanks for reading and spread the word about Project Explore with all your friends! We really need your help in expanding our community. It'll make the multiplayer 10 times more fun with more people to experience it with.
