New Chunk System (No More Lag)
You know how the game would hang when you stepped into a new chunk? Yeah, I fixed that. The world size can be just about any size you want now. I even added an 'Extra Large' option which is 120x120 chunks. In terms of screenspace, that is 153600*153600 pixels of world space. It's pretty massive. The best part is that the world is seamless. There is no lag at all. Start a world, let it load, after that it's smooth the whole way.
Working On Touch Screen Support (Thanks Intel!)
An Intel representative contacted me a month back or so and offered to send me a 2-1 laptop/tablet to help me develop Project Explore for the free form device (touch screen and such). I was blown away by the offer and accepted it of course. I received the device yesterday and got onscreen and multi-touch controls working. It's not polished and no where near ready but I just thought I'd mention it to everyone. I'll be adding a tablet mode option for those of you that wish to survive from the comfort of your bed.
