New Weather, Dust Storms
Weather is a key part of the survival experience and something I have been putting off for some time. Rain only affects the game in two aspects: it's pretty and it makes crops grow faster. Not really all that exciting or game changing. Well now we have dust storms. A very different type of weather that can actually kill you.
There is a number of ways to survive which include hiding indoors or wearing a headwrap. As you probably know... inhaling massive amounts of dirt/dust isn't exactly a good way of staying in shape. The weather makes sense considering the surrounding desert biomes and nearby ocean. I think the dust storm adds a whole new challenge to the game and will help expand the gameplay further.
New Items (Explained)
You may have noticed the addition of seemingly useless items in Project Explore. Well they aren't useless! In fact no items are entirely useless. All 'useless' items can be deconstructed into cloth, strings, sticks, and other useful resources using a deconstruction table. One not so useless item I've added is the cloth headwrap (read more in the previous paragraph above).
News Regarding The Next Major Update
Until we release the multiplayer and AI re-write we have promised... I will continue to push these minor updates to help expand the game and hopefully get some user feedback about new features.
Thanks for reading and have a excellent day!
