Hello again, this is Taehyun Kim, the director of Sudden Attack Zero Point.
Today, we’d like to talk about why Sudden Attack has embarked on a new journey named Zero Point.
As we mentioned in our previous Dev Note, Sudden Attack’s unique strengths are its “easy-to-learn” and “fast-paced” gameplay.
However, one point of regret was the inability to continue our global service. Learning from that experience though, we’ve reorganized and are ready to take on that challenge once again.
Over the past two decades, there have been significant improvements in graphics, and we recognized the need for technical enhancements in order to keep up with the latest trends and remain competitive.
Therefore, we’d like to show you how our graphics have improved thanks to these technical enhancements.
[Upgraded Graphics]
We’ve redeveloped the Jupiter engine, which is the same engine used for Sudden Attack, allowing it to deliver higher-quality graphics while keeping system requirements low.
If our only goal was to provide better graphics, it would’ve been more efficient to switch to the latest engine.
But we wanted to preserve the unique feel and gameplay strengths of Sudden Attack, so we focused on improving Zero Point’s graphics with the Jupiter engine as much as possible.
While the graphics have been greatly improved, the time it takes to create content is very time-consuming due to limited functionality and compatibility when compared to recent engines.
Although we aren’t able to present all the content we want immediately, we are planning on regular and frequent updates after launch to make up for this.
[Widescreen Resolution Support and FOV Changes]
The original Sudden Attack was developed based on a 4:3 aspect ratio, which led to a forced widescreen resolution on widescreen monitors.
Sudden Attack Zero Point will support various resolutions and aspect ratios so that it can be played regardless of monitor type.
As we will be supporting various resolutions, the FOV (Field of View) will also be revised based on each player’s screen resolution.
We are making various yet precise adjustments in order to preserve Sudden Attack’s essence.

In short, these improvements are expected to further enhance the “easy-to-learn” and “fast-paced” gameplay that is synonymous with Sudden Attack. The team is currently undergoing internal and closed tests to ensure that these improvements provide a better, more enjoyable gameplay experience for all players.
Sudden Attack Zero Point will continue to adapt to an ever-changing game environment and player expectations. We sincerely hope you’re just as excited about the remastered Sudden Attack as we are.
