After some great feedback, I’ve made big UX/UI changes to sort out some issues.
🔨 Demo v030 Changes
I’ve upscaled the native resolution to 640 x 360 This gives everything some more space and hopefully solves some other issues, most importantly font readability.
The small font has been removed, and the game now uses one consistent font for everything.
R-clicks are no longer needed. The option is still there, but the UI has been updated so everything can be done with just one mouse button. (Three-dot menu, click [X] to close etc).
The separate tutorial has been removed, and a more streamlined version is now at the start of the main game (and it’s skippable).
Letter and Request slots are automatically refilled if a request exists.
Unsolved Recipes has been given its own slot to avoid too much book switching.
Resource and Creature slots have been given an additional slot (now 4 each).
A bigger enclosure/creature pen next to the summoning circle.
Items no longer get stuck behind slots.
The number of items in stock is shown when mousing over it during selection as well as at the merchant.
When a summoner can’t summon due to missing ingredients, which ingredients are missing are shown when mousing over them.
Some text has been replaced by visual icons.
Replaced some irrelevant information in the Summoner’s Cookbook with more useful stuff.
Various UI and readability changes.
Changed clay to look more distinct from soil.
🚨 IMPORTANT TO NOTICE
If you open up a save file from the old version, your buildings have been returned to storage, and you’ll have to rebuild them. This is to avoid issues in regard to the upscaling, as the x and y position of everything have changed. Sorry about that 🙇, but other than that I think there are no other compatibility issues as far as I’ve noticed.
All in all, there might be things to tweak but I’m really happy about these changes and thankful for all the feedback I’ve gotten!
