Czechoslovakian designed for use with 7.62x39 mm bullets in Czechoslovakia in 1958 at the State Armament Factory Česká Zbrojovka in Uhersky Brod and was officially adopted for use in late 1950s.
Was used in the military conflict in Vietnam and currently remains an official armament in the military forces of Vietnam.
