Welcome to SPACE DINGUS! We're developing this game as a followup and Spiritual Successor to Death Road to Canada.
We're going to be keeping a lot of familiar gameplay compared to Death Road, such as the Choose your own Adventure Events, general structure for picking your locations, and giant swarms of enemies. There will also be a lot of differences from Death Road. Here's a short list:
Online multiplayer! This was a huge request from Death Road to Canada, now possible with the new engine we built.
Mouse aiming controls! You can see this and the headshot system in the Teaser Trailer.
Between picking locations, you have a big customizable Spaceship as a hub area.
Multiple enemy factions! A few will be the "slow zombie" archetype, and even those will have new twists that set them apart from both Death Road's zombies, and each other.
Goofy, giant swan dives that will get you killed.
Watch for announcements on the Steam Page and the Official Rocketcat Discord. Along with news on development of the game, we're planning a big surprise event in the future. We will mostly be announcing this event only in these two places, the Discord and Steam Page.
We're going to reveal what this will be when we get closer to it!
In the meantime, please wishlist the game and try to get the word out. Tell your friends that are Death Road to Canada fans to wishlist it, too.
Here is an easy link to share, this will currently go straight to the Steam Store page for wishlisting: www.spacedingus.com
I'll be keeping an eye out for any questions or comments, both here and in Discord. Let me know what you think of the trailer!
