Rifters, your next opportunity to play Lost Rift is this week!
The final countdown has begun. This Thursday August 7, at 10am EDT, we’re hosting our next public stress playtest!
We’ve made changes and improvements across the board since you last saw us. We’re excited to have you back in the game to see what we’ve been working on behind the scenes. Heads up, this playtest will not cover all of the new features we’ve been making progress on, but rather focus on refining our key systems and ensuring both server performance and stability. Read on to hear about what you can expect from this test!
UPGRADES & IMPROVEMENTS
More Character Creator options
Fairer PvP matchmaking, especially for solo and duo players
Updated AI for hyenas and Outcasts
Crash fixes to improve stability (with more to come)
Machine-translated localization (official translations coming for Early Access)
Updated Expedition UI for clearer mission flow
New Journal interface to better track your quest objectives
Reworked side quests from Wade with new objectives and rewards
Improved gunplay and balance
Bug fixes: many squashed, more being hunted as we speak
EXPLORE UPDATES POINTS OF INTEREST
Grey boxes are being smashed left, right, and center!
Explore new sights to see and new dangers to brave on Expedition:
Jump in this Thursday to see our third updated POI! Whether you're looting alone or surviving with friends, these updated and polished locations will bring more tactical depth and lore to uncover. The total playable area you’ll have access to will remain the same, featuring Pioneers’ Landing (PvE) and Expedition (PvPvE), as well as the same mysterious boundary that limits progression beyond the anomaly’s edge. The wall has been placed to help us hone in on the early-game experience.
PARTICIPATE IN THE STRESS TEST
August 7 at 10am EDT until August 11 at 10am EDT.
Free and open to all via a 'Join the Playtest' button on our Steam Page; no sign-up or keys required!
