Dear Rifters,
The time has come - the Lost Rift Alpha Playtest is live!
This first hands-on moment is about giving you a taste of the game we’re building, and we can’t wait for you to play it with us.
During the playtest, you’ll start on the Pioneers’ Landing, the PvE slice of Lost Rift, where you can:
- Explore the Island - alone or with friends in teams of up to five.
- Ensure your Survival - by gathering resources and crafting tools.
- Build your Shelter - to protect you from the weather and other dangers.
- Discover signs of Civilization - a mysterious tower you’ll need to investigate.
- Meet a Stranger in Need - who may become your trusted ally.
You can also participate in Expeditions - the high-stakes PvPvE side to Lost Rift, where you lose your precious loot if you fail to extract. On Expeditions, you will:
- Gather high-value Loot - to help you on your quest for survival.
- Fight with Indigenous Enemies - such as Outcasts, and larger-than-life predators.
- Encounter matchmade PvP Players - where you choose whether to engage or avoid.
- Extract in Time - and return victorious to Pioneers’ Landing to continue your quests.
To help you get your bearings, we’ve prepared a gameplay video with developer commentary from our Lead Game Designer, Olexiy Zhukov Malyeyev. Watch it below!
To join the playtests, head to our store page and click the Request Access button.
If you already have access to the playtest, you should be able to invite up to three friends to join your survival squad!
We’re incredibly excited to welcome you into Lost Rift, and even more excited to hear your thoughts. Your feedback will play a key role in shaping what’s next. Remember - if you want to stay up-to-date on Lost Rift, wishlist our game and join the Discord where we hang out with our community!
See you in the Pioneers’ Landing,
