There are multiple ways to tell a story in the game, such as through the environment or via dialogue given by one or more characters. Even collectibles can contribute to the narrative. That's why the tarot cards, which are called "Arcanas" in the game, exist.

These cards are tricky to find though, they are not in plain sight. You'll need to look around for anything extra you could do, like opening another door or going somewhere else. But once found Elizabeth will talk about a topic related to the Arcana.
How does an Arcana look like outside?
Arcanas have the same size and have a distinct yellow-ish/gold-ish tin to them, featuring artwork.

How does an Arcana look like once collected?
You can check it after obtaining them or by opening up the inventory, selecting the "Arcanas" section and then choosing the one you want to see, for example here's "The Death".

How many Tarot cards are there in the game?
Currently there's 9 Arcanas that you can find in the game, some of which can be found in the game's demo. But we aren't sharing (all) their designs and flavor text! The fun of it is finding them on your own!

Does collecting Arcanas affect the story?
Not really, they are mainly for people who like to collect everything in games and/or people engaged in the story that want to know more about Elizabeth and her world.
Who made the illustrations?

The illustrations were made by our awesome artist https://x.com/Aleggallego. If you liked her art let her know by following her on Twitter and sending some love!
Who wrote the flavor text?

The little insights were written by our incredible narrative designer https://bsky.app/profile/syapeueji.bsky.social. If you enjoyed the setting, the characters, the story... feel free to let her know!
Do you accept suggestions for Arcanas?
Currently we aren't, but feel free to send us a suggestion anyways!
See you on next month's news event! ːsteamhappyː
