Reward system
- Rewards have now been added to achievements - upon attaining certain achievements, in-game rewards will be given such as new customization options, or a new upgrade for your car!
- Players can now customize the rims and tires on their car. For each rim style once unlocked, you can buy three additional variations.
- Several special paint types can be unlocked through achievements.
- Players will now unlock a special upgrade for each car once they have bought all available upgrades.
- Special car decals can be earned from achievements. These will be added to the list of styles under your sponsors and counts as that sponsor.
New features and tweaks
- The chance of rain during a race has been reduced.
- Players now get penalized for leaving a lobby. Their qualify time will be set to blank on that track, and they will be prevented from starting another race search for three minutes.
- The way the driver changes gears has been slightly adjusted.
- The driver no longer risks driving too fast when changing lanes.
- Some upgrade stats have been tweaked and balanced.
- Raptor and Avalanche now get a quick launch start similar to Scorcher when using high acceleration transmissions.
- Improved the looks of car wheels during races.
Bug Fixes
- Collisions now register properly, producing sound and correctly counting towards the Gentleman medal.
- Various achievement tracking stats have been fixed.
- Fixed many achievements which were being incorrectly awarded.
- Fixed a bug that was causing achievement tooltips to appear incorrectly, resulting in bad scaling and flickering.
- Weather announcements will no longer appear over other UI elements.
- Removed one KERS upgrade on Raptor and Scorcher as our system currently only supports 6 upgrades per category and having more led to the player starting with those part already owned.
Known Issues
- Carbon paint doesn’t look correct on all pattern shapes.
- There is currently no place to see any Wall of Fame entries, but they should be recorded and be on the list once it becomes available.
