RACE JAM DEMO UPDATE 5
Hey everyone! Update 5 is here with a major focus on physics, Chase Mode AI upgrades, and big menu overhauls. We’ve also introduced some early changes to Stunt Mode for you to try out, along with several key bug fixes across vehicles, tracks, and multiplayer. Here’s what’s new:
Physics Improvements
Reduced Floatiness: Vehicles now stay grounded much more realistically.
No More Flying Cars: Fixed issue where vehicles could start flying when rotated.
Bounce Physics Fixed: After big jumps, vehicles will properly bounce if they don’t land on their wheels.
Cops AI Improvements
Better Chase Speeds: Police now approach players at more reasonable speeds.
More Realistic Driving: Cop driving behavior adjusted for smoother pursuit.
Dispatcher Added: Police radio announcements now play during Chase mode.
Menus & UI Overhaul
Button Guides: Each menu page now displays clear button help.
Improved Highlighting: Buttons now stand out more when selected.
Profile Indicator: New profile display added to the main menu.
Track Menu Reworked: Layout and navigation streamlined.
Options Menu Remade: Completely redesigned for clarity and ease of use.
Locked Items Notice: Vehicle select now shows when a locked item is chosen.
Stunt Mode (Experimental)
Boost & Hop System: Added 1 ground boost and 1 hop per stunt attempt.
Vehicle Downforce Fixed: Tuna Extreme, Frizzy, and Mason now match the downforce of other vehicles.
Reset Fixes:
Vehicles no longer reset while already resetting.
Vehicles no longer take damage while resetting if colliding with walls.
Split-Screen Multiplayer Improvements
Health Bar Fix: Players will no longer see their own health bar above their vehicle.
HUD Scaling: HUD elements now properly resize for each player.
