Hey everyone! We’ve been hard at work making improvements to the Race Jam demo following all the awesome feedback from players like you. This update brings some big overhauls, major performance upgrades, and a number of bug fixes that should make everything smoother, faster, and more fun. Here's what’s new:
Track Updates & Overhauls:
Joe’s Room: Increased size of slide entrance for better flow.
Hedgehog Hills: Fully renovated, with both U-turns removed and most turns widened for smoother navigation.
Triassic Track: Terrain issues resolved.
Temple: Complete rework underway—expect tighter visuals and cleaner racing lines.
NY Highway: Major resize—track is now 65% larger! Physics materials on walls updated to prevent vehicles from sticking.
Gameplay & Vehicle Improvements:
Drifting: Reworked to feel less sticky and far smoother overall.
Speed: All vehicles now have +30 MPH added to their top speed.
Traction Control: Reduced the slowing effect significantly.
ESP and Traction Helper: Both disabled for a more skill-based driving experience.
Steering Sensitivity:
Keyboard steering now works correctly.
Maximum sensitivity increased from 15 to 45 for more fine-tuned control.
Performance & Visuals:
Lighting: Recalculated lighting across all tracks to boost performance.
New Setting: Added the option to enable VSync.
UI & Menu Fixes:
Vehicle Select:
Back button now works properly.
Fixed issue where the vehicle select screen was being skipped.
Profiles: Players at level 40 can now finish races without issue.
Unlocking Fixes: Fixed an issue that prevented suspension and other body parts from unlocking properly.
Character Unlocks: Bug preventing new character unlocks has been resolved.
Localization:
Languages: Temporarily disabled all languages except English and Spanish while we work with professional translators to improve the rest.
Localization Menu: Fixed several menu bugs related to language selection.
