Today I am pleased to announce a HUGE update for 001 Game Creator...You've read the title so you already know what it is: ONLINE MULTIPLAYER! With these powerful new networking tools you can create online multiplayer experiences ranging from 2-player cooperative play to full blown MMOs (providing you have the necessary skills to pull that off of course!) We've included two new demos to showcase this new functionality; a Tic-Tac-Toe demo and a 2D Fighting Game demo. These demos should help you to understand how to utilise these new features. Of course, our Online Wiki has also been updated with a full Online Multiplayer section to explain some of the essentials as well.
In addition, there is now a Steam build option and Steam API support (achievements, statistics, etc.) - along with a host of bug fixes.
We've also released a Steam DEMO that allows users to try out the full set of 001 Game Creator features (including all of the new stuff mentioned in this update) for FREE for a limited time.
