Recently, suspicions have been raised in some communities that our game's art may have been generated by AI, so we would like to share the development team's official statement.
All final art assets in the game—including characters, monsters, backgrounds, and more—are drawn and completed by our artists themselves.
The areas where we utilize AI tools are as stated on our Steam page. Generative AI art is not used in the core process of creating the game's visuals.
The images below are our actual work records showing how we complete a single character—starting from rough sketches, going through inking and coloring, and reviewing dozens of design variations. We present these results exactly as they were made, crafted by human hands with painstaking care.
We take great pride in our artists' work. We will not stand by while their efforts are disparaged by baseless accusations.
All visuals in VOID DIVER will continue to be made by human hands, without exception.
