The Ascension Update introduces significant new content and gameplay improvements focused on movement and combat variety. This update expands the world of GoodMan with new enemies, new levels, new systems, and enhanced visual feedback.
Let's take a quick look at the update!
NEW CONTENT
New Enemy - BirdMan 🐦
A flying tennis ball with a smiley face. BirdMan alternates between two distinct behavior phases:
Firing Phase: Spins rapidly in the air and fires projectiles in multiple directions. During this phase, BirdMan cannot be damaged.
Idle Phase: Stops spinning to recharge, can take damage
New Boss - Celestial Hog 🐷
A flying boss that moves through the arena in a slow, wave-like motion. Celestial Hog might look cute at first glance, but there’s definitely something darker inside it.
He fights in two main stages:
Stage 1: He pushes the player back and traps himself inside a box of terrain. He starts spawning BadMans, barrels, and crates around the map. A key appears somewhere at random, and once the player picks it up, the terrain barrier disappears, and the Hog becomes exposed again.
Stage 2: He locks onto the player and fires evil orbs. When these orbs hit anything, they turn into a random enemy, keeping the pressure up throughout the fight.
Movement Powerup ⚡
A temporary boost that makes GoodMan noticeably faster and able to jump much higher for 4 seconds.
The Movement Powerup is useful in both platforming and combat, letting you reposition quickly, dodge enemies, and reach spots you normally couldn’t.
