Hello everyone!
First off, thank you so much for the incredible support in the Steam Summer Sale. We smashed our target for the entire sale by the end of Day 2, so yeah. It's been amazing! Thank you to everyone who has left us reviews and reported bugs especially, we couldn't do it without you.
This week is a quieter patch but a good one in terms of bugs & stability. We're heads down working on two big features, and before we really dug in on those we wanted to take some time to stamp out as many bugs as we could.
As a reminder, the next two larger content updates will be the Re-Roll System and the third playable character, The Witch. Re-Rolls will be first, and should add an excellent decision layer and more agency to your runs.
As for 0.2.2, here's the headline bugs we fixed. There's other boring minor technical corrections too, but the gameplay impacts are as follows:
Hollow Hand should no longer appear for selection after Sated Hand has already been transformed.
Catalytic Vial has received an updated tooltip to bring it more in line with player expectations and the games developed format.
The Healer should now correctly unlock if you beat both Round 4 and Death for the first time in the same run!
We finally chased down one of the causes of the mysterious "missing Herbal Remedy / Other base Relics" and these should consistently appear in your collections now.
Death has figured out which way round to hold the Nautilus Anchor and will no longer mistakenly lose his stacks on it between rounds.
If you manage to gain Artisan's Hammer before a Pickaxe, it will no longer rack up swings for the Pickaxe in the background!
We're also hard at work on making the game work on even older hardware with integrated graphic chips. While this is always a challenge, we just wanted to state that it is on the list and usually when Connagh has a day he doesn't feel like smashing his head into The Witch's Relic designs, he chips away on that. So an even more "barebones" (get it) low detail mode will be coming in the near future there.
Once again thank you for all the help, and we can't wait to bring Re-Rolls to the game soon!
Cheers,
Connagh & Joel
