For many of you this won’t come as a big surprise but RIOT – Civil Unrest is not going to make the end of April release date we set at the end of last year.
RIOT has turned out to be a much larger and more complex game than originally anticipated. RIOT’s had more than its fair share of issues along the way and it’s testament to Leonard, Marco and the rest of the team to whom the project has become a real labor of love. Rather than feed you all a new date I’m just going to say that the game is still coming. The past month has seen some giant steps forward and the code is all but feature complete. The next stage will be balancing the game to ensure it’s both challenging and fun. Only when it’s ready will RIOT – Civil unrest be released, there’s no point us releasing a half finished game. As you’ve heard us say before, “please be patient”, it won’t be too long now.
For any of you heading to PAX East in Boston next weekend please be sure to come and play RIOT – Civil Unrest. The game will be on booth #6246 and creator Leonard Menchiari will be on hand to answer questions. In the meantime he’s created a new trailer for you to enjoy.
