Free Survival update

Survival Mode:

  • Several characters to choose from with varying speed and toughness
  • Rank system - unlockable perks, weapons
  • New leaderboards
  • Added custom maps for this mode only
  • Special weapons

Cheats in Advanced Gameplay Options

  • Infinite ammo
  • God mode
  • Any weapon (including new ones)

To unlock cheats you must first finish the entire game at least on 'Extreme' difficulty

Cheats are allowed both in Survival mode and in campaign. Using cheats blocks all leaderboards from progressing and almost all achievements (the playtime one keeps ticking only)

More explaining: If you start a level with cheats enabled (doable from the main menu) you will not get any progress saved for the whole play. You need to exit the level, disable cheats and start with them disabled. Using 'spawn any weapon' cheat blocks saving progress for the map where the cheat was used. If you progress through campaign to next level, the progress from the next level will be saved, although you will have default weapons for that level instead of the ones you had.

Two new difficulty settings

    Story Mode:
  • One additional respawn received at the level start
  • You receive 2 respawns per side quest instead of one
  • Player has twice the health than on 'Easy' difficulty
  • Body Armor is 50% stronger
  • A single execution healths to full
  • Full health on respawn
    Insane:
  • No respawns
  • Half the health than on 'Extreme' difficulty
  • The game will no longer outline all enemies with a red border when viewing active quests
  • Radar does not show people and cars
  • Body Armor is 50% weaker
  • Rest of the rules ( e.g. health regeneration on execution ) - stays the same relative to the reduced health - you regenerate 20% health each execution just as on 'Extreme' but 20% of lowered health is much less

Hardware Cursor added in the Gameplay Options to reduce noticeable lag when frame rates are low

  • When you enable it, you will be unable to change crosshair color or scale - these options only work with software cursor
  • You will not see reload progress around the crosshair
  • In exchange you are able to create your custom cursors and use them in our game. Simply put properly prepared *.cur file in the Saved\Cursors catalogue
  • If you wish to create animated cursors, you can! They should be placed in the same directory as the regular ones. The supported file extension is *.ani
  • To change the hardware cursor icon change the 'Crosshair Type' option. Instead of showing our standard icons it will contain numbers. The number relates to the order in which the files are placed in the folder

New achievements:

  • For completing the game on 'Story Mode' - this one will also unlock after beating the game on any other difficulty. To acquire it you have to finish any level on any difficulty if you have already finished the game
  • For completing the game on 'Insane'
  • For finishing each level on 'Insane' difficulty with all sidequests
  • Survival achievements

Additional side quests for some levels - more respawns for those who need them

  • Two for Army Base
  • One for Marina
  • One for Downtown
  • Added the ability to play 'Truck Stop' or 'Marina' level without having to play through 'Train' or 'Sewers' respectively
  • Added option to change sprint behaviour - when on, sprinting no longer requires continuous holding of the 'Run' button. To stop the character from sprinting in this mode you simply press the sprint button again or make an action that prohibits sprinting
  • Both civilian and human shields health has been randomized so you will no longer '2shot everyone with pistol'
  • Released Steam Cards, Emoticons & Badges
  • Borderless windowed mode available in the Graphics Options
  • Further performance and stability improvements
  • Improved car behaviour - driving
  • Multiple bugfixes

Known bugs:

  • Some of the UI texts are cut at the end

Information:
Players that tested this patch prior to release suggested we allow more bodies to be lying on the map. Default is 50 and we decided to not increase it due to performance reasons. However, we've also decided to not ignore the request, therefore you can modify that value through config file, located at "Hatred\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Game.ini". Simply paste at the end of the file:

[/Script/Hatred.HatredSurvivalGameMode]
MaximumNumberOfRagdolls=50

You can choose how many corpses should be left alone. Keep in mind that it has an impact on performance, so make sure your PC can handle it. Survival maps are much smaller than the campaign ones, they run faster.
