Greetings from the Director of Shell Bless the Faithless.
Welcome back to our second developer update.
It’s been a while since our last devlog—and today, we bring some exciting news we've been quietly preparing behind the scenes.
Team Update
Since showcasing our demo at ILLUSTAR PLAY and PlayX4, we've been hard at work refining and improving key aspects of the game based on your feedback.
In addition to developing new content, we focused on refining the shooting action's feel, enhancing AI pathfinding, and significantly improving the overall quality of our art assets.
Our team has grown from 6 to 11 members.
Thanks to the newly expanded art team, most of the placeholder assets have been replaced, giving our visual direction a much clearer focus. NPC and gear designs that existed only in concept have now entered the implementation stage—and we’re enjoying every moment of it.
We also welcomed a new planner who brings a fresh perspective, helping us sharpen the core shooting experience. Our expanded development team is now better equipped to explore bold and experimental gameplay systems.
While development has kept us busy, we're thrilled to share that we've been selected as one of the TOP 15 teams at IndieCraft, and are now preparing for the second round of judging. We’re looking forward to another offline showcase where we can engage with players directly and hear your thoughts.

BIC Festival 2025 Participation & Limited-Time DEMO Release
We’re excited to announce that Shell Bless the Faithless will officially be showcased at the upcoming [BIC Festival 2025], held next week in Busan, Korea.
In addition, we are releasing a limited-time single-player DEMO, available from today until August 31st.
This build offers 30 to 40 minutes of gameplay along a single route and includes the following content:
2 Shotgun Blessings
2 Stage Themes and a Boss Battle
Interactive Dungeon Objects
Destructible Elements and Environmental Hazards
Basic Dungeon Shop System including Buy, Sell, and Enhence.
Character Customization
Unfortunately, the 4-player co-op demo will not be included just yet—we’ve decided to delay its release slightly to ensure stability and a smoother multiplayer experience.
You’ll be able to play the demo firsthand at our booth during BIC, and those who’ve added us to their Steam Wishlist will receive a small gift at the event. If you’re in Busan this fall, we hope you’ll stop by and say hello.
The demo will also be available through the BIC online showcase and our Steam page. We would greatly appreciate it if you could share your experiences and impressions—it helps us tremendously.
We hope that the essence of what makes a great shooter comes through in this build, and we’re working hard to bring you the multiplayer version soon.

Current Development Progress
Our game’s core systems are now firmly in place.
We’ve completed the implementation of various interactive dungeon elements such as shops, vending machines, summoning phones, and shrines.
The current development focus includes:
Expanding the roster of Shotgun Blessings and Skills
Building a narrative and branching system based on NPC interaction
Adding new stage themes and boss encounters
Polishing enemy AI behavior
Refining and stabilizing co-op multiplayer
Our top priorities right now are:
enhancing combat through smarter enemy AI, and implementing unique parts and skill mechanics that can offer exciting moment-to-moment gameplay.
We are also in the process of shaping the out-of-game narrative structure, defining the personality and stories of each NPC to further flesh out the world of Shell Bless the Faithless.

Together, Further
With this milestone, we feel development has now stepped into the core phase of building the full game.
But to reach wider, deeper, and stranger worlds ahead—we need your support.
Please add us to your Steam Wishlist, and stay tuned for more updates.
Your interest and feedback mean everything to us.
