Hello everyone, this is UnderTheBluelight. I hope you have all been well.
I am thrilled to return with a long-awaited update and some very exciting news. EverCastle will be participating in the Steam Next Fest: February Edition!
During the event, you will be able to find EverCastle on the official event page and enjoy the demo freely. Additionally, I plan to broadcast gameplay footage directly on the Steam store page throughout the festival (specific schedule to be announced).
As an indie developer, I have always viewed Steam Next Fest as a major milestone. For a project of this scale, it is an incredibly meaningful opportunity to gain visibility and, most importantly, to connect with you—the players. To ensure the best possible experience during the event, I have further refined and updated the demo.
Patch Details (v0.1.4)
Overhauled the dash system
Fixed various issues related to terrain and collision data.
Refined monster placement and adjusted item drop rates.
Players can now enter and explore the houses within the village!
Improved footstep effects.
Added thumbnails to save slots for better visual navigation.
BGM Logic Improvements
Bug Fixes:
Fixed an issue where acquired skills were temporarily not displayed upon reloading.
Fixed an intermittent bug where the teleportation function failed to trigger.
Fixed an issue where settings would reset when returning to the main menu.
Miscellaneous: Various minor UI/UX improvements for a more polished experience.
While I continue to update the demo, development on the full version of the game is also progressing steadily. My next major goal is to officially announce the release date.
Until then, I sincerely hope you enjoy this updated demo. I look forward to hearing your feedback and interacting with you on Discord and my social media channels.
Thank you for your continued support.
