The English version of Fantasy World: The Demon Lord's Truth is now live.
English is available for the UI, dialogue, and skill descriptions, and you can switch languages from Steam's settings.
If you already own the game, the update lets you switch at any time.
For anyone seeing this game for the first time, here's a quick introduction.
It's a turn-based JRPG made by one person.
Battles aren't about trading hits — they're built around strategy and tactical decisions.
The 13 characters each have clear strengths and weaknesses depending on their class.
You can recruit them in whatever order you like, so you're free to choose which classes you take.
There's also a character creation feature, so names and appearances are entirely up to you.
Along with this update, a new class has been added.
One of the characters who joins later in the story didn't have enough to work with, so this fills that gap. Unlike the classes implemented so far, this one is highly tactical.
To mark the English release, the game will be 30% off during Steam's Party-Based RPG Fest, running September 14-21 (Pacific time). It's the first sale the game has ever had.
The demo covers the opening hours, so you can check whether it suits you before buying.
The official site is also being translated into English, gradually from mid-September through October.
If you run into bugs or spot any awkward translations, please get in touch through the contact form on the official site and I'll fix them as reports come in.
